This is new local brand from Indonesia. With kawaii girly illustrations on the bottle, I thought it is some kind of new Korean brand.
Dont you agree? It comes with the cute pink bag too!
Currently the shop only offers body lotions in 5 fragrances. I picked Sandy Sweetpea. The SA says 5 more fragrances are coming soon, with lines of antibacterial hand rub and lip balms. Lotions come in 95mL bottle (smallest), 200mL and 400mL.
The lotion contains jojoba oil and vitamin E. It says it also helps whitening your skin and UV filter. Non sticky and suitable for humid tropical weather. Sounds like lotion made from heaven.
Sandy Sweetpea is light and sweet with hint of flowers and fruits. Kinda reminds me of one of Victoria Secret - Secret Garden fragrance. Couldn’t remember which though. Simply said, it is light and lovely – not intrusive but nothing extraordinary. Since the fragrance is light, it doesn’t linger very long – about be 2-3 hours.
Light and baby pink in color, it just calls me over and over to apply more of it. It absorbs easily and wonderfully, leaving the skin lightly fragranced and wonderfully moist.
One thing I am really particular about with my lotions is, if the lotion wash off or makes my hand feeling slick after rinsing my hand with water. Gwendolyn body lotion, feel a little like that. Not so slick, but still, I feel like the lotion is gone after mild rinsing with water. But with the price, this is still a good buy.
One thing though, I think this lotion is not available in many places yet.
In Summary...
Packaging: simple plastic bottle with cute girly pictures
Texture: lightly fragranced body lotion
Is it worth it?
Collateral Damage: IDR 25,000 (approx 3 USD) for 95mL
Yes if... You live in humid climate, you want lightly moisturizing lotion
No if... want heavier lotion

Etude House Miss Tangerine Sweet Shower Lips Miss Tangerine in Shiny Pink Shower 1
This is the other line of lippie from Miss Tangerine Spring 2011. My very first encounter with the Miss was VIP girl Dear Darling lips in OR205 (swatch and review here: ...)
The packaging is better made than VIP girl line, feels heavier with cute polkadot ring! It kinda reminds me of Dior’s Serum Rouge packaging. One warning: do not twist too much! It will not go in again. 1-2mm of products peeking on top would be more tan enough to use.
It is scented with orangey fragrance, similar to VIP girl’s. It also has a little orangey taste when I applied. I feel this one (taste and fragrance) lasts longer than VIP girl’s. The lasting power is not there though, only 1 hour-ish for me. When the color is gone, it leaves pretty soft shimmer on my lips.
It is very moisturizing, I feel like wearing balm not lipgloss!
The color is pretty pretty pretty... bright pink with soft shimmer. Look at the shimmer there!
As you can see, it is very sheer. Left was single swipe, Right was multiple swipes.
It only give my lips soft pink color with lovely shimmer. But I like it nonetheless.
In Summary...
Packaging: pretty and feminine
Color offering: varieties of poppy tangerines and pink
Moisturizing: 4/5
Staying power: vibrant color stays for 1 hours, soft shimmer left afterwards
Collateral damage: SGD 24.9
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you link bright pink with shimmer, you like sheer colors, if you want moisturizing lippie
No if... you want more pigment, you prefer more gorwn up color, you cant use fragranced/flavoured products

Etude House Shine Stick eyeshadow in 12
Who can say no to such pretty pink? I just grab it without swatching it first on my skin...
First of all, adore the easy to use packaging! No messy sharpening... just twist the end of the pencil and voila...ready to use!
The color itself is sheer blue based baby pink and loads of glitter. The texture is a little creamy with hint oil... this makes it easy to blend, but not comfortable for my already oily lids.
And yes...there is such thing as too much glitter. The glitter just drop easily and runs to under eyes area. The glitter is not so fine and I can feel it irritates my eyes as glitter flecks started dropping off. I don’t fancy this...
Dang...greedy me picked up two colors! I just hope the other one is better than this!
In summary...
Packaging: easy to use, twist pen style
Color variations: couldn’t remember
Staying power: runs easily, with glitter chunks started dropping and irritate my eyes
Is it worth it?
No I don’t think so... unless you can find other ways to utilize this ultra glittery product

Coffret d'Or SA Eyes in 04
One day, I decided that I need more blue eye shadow in my collection. Off I went hunting for pretty blue things in the internet. And I stumbled upon this...
Oh... receiving this baby was pure joy. I didn’t expect the packaging to look so nice. Look at that pink diamantes on the cover! Love...
The packaging looks so pretty. And it has mirror inside too! comes with 2 type of brushes.
As usual, most Japanese palettes I’ve purchased has easy to follow diagram ...
Now the product itself! Of the colors are powder eye shadows. Blue and brown shadows were ultra shimmery glittery. Very pretty. Sheer, but pretty. the white one was less shimmery but still does a nice job for highlighting. The last one in the middle was cream-gel like shadow/liner. I always use this one as glittery liner.
I am loving the texture of this one so much. It is easy to use and the shimmer-glitter doesn’t fall off! I can totally see myself grabbing other palettes from this brand!
In Summary...
Packaging: plastic metallic palette with mirror and 2 brushes inside
Texture: light, smooth easy to blend and apply
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like shimmery shadow, you adore that pretty blue shade...
No if... you want more pigmented shadows

Majolica Majorca Neo Automatic Liner in RD544
I love liquid eyeliners. Rarely I got pencil eyeliner which can stay put on my oily lids. So, I just have to try every single liquid eyeliners my wallet can take out there.
Majolica Majorca is one of my favourite Japanese drug store brand. I adore their eye shadow palettes. I guess the eyeliner should be good too?
It is one of those automatic eyeliners, where u just have to twist the end of the pen...and your eyeliner is ready to use!
I kind of like the brush tip. Always nicely shaped, not too hard, not too soft too.
The color is pretty nice too. metallic maroon. Too bad, the texture is not... it is too sheer for my liking. I have to reapply and reapply to get to my desired intensity.
It doesn’t run, but it is easily off if I rub my eyes even a little bit. I don’t like this too much.
In summary...
Packaging: easy to use, click pen style
Color variations: 3/5 nice variations of darker metallic colors
Texture: light but not pigmented
Staying power: doesn’t create panda eyes, but easily off with even simple light rubbing
Is it worth it?
Yes if... collect Majolica Majorca and just have to have everything from the brand
No if... you prefer more pigmented liners, you like more lasting liners

Kose Cosmenience Happy Bath Day Precious Rose Body Powder
Rose overload! These few days I have been spray happy with my favourite rose fragrances, like The Perfumer Workshop Tea Rose or Thierry Mugler Angel La Rose. I love rose and with mood like this, I will grab anything rosey! And I did... Kose Comenience Happy Bath Day Precious Rose Body Powder. As you know, Kose is Japanese cosmetics brand which brings us, of course, Kose line of skincare and make up and Fasio, the drugstore make up line. After some consulting the wise Uncle Google, I figured this product has been around for few years in Singapore. (again, where have I been?!?). In the shop where I got this bay, there was a tiny rack filled with pink colored, rose scented products from Kose. Ranging from hair care to soap to cologne... thanks to the cute packaging, I ended up with the body powder.
Look at that cute pink rose shaped handle on top! The powder comes with pink soft powder puff with pink ribbon on top. Unfortunately the lid is not one of those twist/screw to close. So, if I forgot that and grab the cute pink thing by the rose shaped handle, it will just tumble down... how do I know...I tried... (more like it happen accidentally then purposely trying taking it by the handle...)
The powder itself is so soft and mildly fragranced. When I opened the seal, there is nothing mild about the fragrance. But upon application, the scent softened a lot and gave me soft candied rose smell. Love...
Fallen in love with the body powder, the next natural thing to do is... grab the cologne! But I didn’t. For I don’t fancy the accords in the cologne, it smells of strong alcohol and artificial roses. Nothing like my beloved body powder. How I wish I could buy another product from this range ...
Even though I don’t usually powdered up my body, this rose scented baby is a definite repurchase!
Packaging: cute pink rose themed, be careful with the lid though...
Price: SGD 25
Texture: scented body powder, very pale pink in color. Texture similar to Johnson&Johnson baby powder
Staying power:
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like to apply body powder, you like the smell of roses
No if... you don’t powder up so much, you simply cant stand roses

Top Shop Lip Stick in Vintage
Top Shop is not exactly the place where I hunt for make up, but in Singapore, they carry the make up line! I just adore their simple, matte packaging!
The shop I’ve been to, offers two types of lipstick: traditional bullet ones and this cute pencil lip stick. For each type they only offer 4-5 colors if my memory serves me right.
Vintage is pretty pink with slight pearly finish. While depositing good color on my lip, it still allows my original lip color to slightly peeks trhu. I love it!
The vanilla fragrance, which is detectable when I was applying on my lip, totally reminds me of MAC’s lipsticks. One thing that I like about this lip stick is the light texture, and the fact that it is not too soft I wont be worried clumsy me will break it when applying, but not too hard that I am have to apply with pressure...
It is not moisturizing, not drying either. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last long at all...without my regular tea sippings, I only get 1-2 hours of wear with this baby... *pout*
In summary...
Packaging: pencil style
Color variations: 2/5 only saw 4-5 colors from this range
Price: SGD 16
Texture: light
Moisturizing: 3/5
Staying power: 1-2 hours without tea sippings or snacking in between
Is it worth it?
-Yes if... you like pencil style lipstick, you adore pink pearly look
-No if... you want your lippie to stay around long, you don’t like the color, you don’t fancy sharpening your lippie

NUXE Huile Prodigieuse OR – Multi Usage Dry Oil
Nuxe is drugstore brand from France, Huile Prodigieuse happen to be one of their flagship product. I’ve heard nice recommendations about this dry oil, but never tried it myself. As it is exxxxppeeennssiiivveeeee in Singapore. But I can’t contain myself seeing the shimmering golden glitter suspended in amber oil...so, I grabbed it.
The website says...
‘EFFECTIVE BY NATURE
Huile Prodigieuse Or is a dry oil with a unique superactivated formula combining 30% Precious Plant Oils and Vitamin E to nourish, repair and soften face, body and hair in a single gesture.
PRECIOUS BENEFITS FOR MY SKIN
Face and body are soft and velvety. Hair is supple, glossy and full of volume. Thanks to its small golden particles, your skin glitters and reveals its beauty whenever you move.
STAR ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
A unique cocktail of 6 Precious Plant Oils (Borage, St Johnswort, Sweet Almond, Camellia, Hazelnut, Macadamia) with a subtle fragrance for a velvety skin, silky hair and an improved overall aspect of stretch marks. Its iridescent golden particles illuminate all skin and hair types with shiny reflections.
IS THIS PRODUCT FOR ME?
This oil is suitable for all skin and hair types regardless of age.’
Sounds fantastic isn’t it? And with that pretty golden shimmer, how can I say no? So... most probably you have noticed the two layers of colors in the picture. The golden shimmer is deposited at the bottom, and you have to shake it (just a little bit will do) before spraying it. My 100ml bottle comes with spray nozzle, just like perfumes. I believe the smaller bottle (50mL or so) does not come with the nozzle, but simple opening on the top of the bottle. But, I had some bad experience with nozzle spraying products a little too generously and ended up messing my application. Not with this one. It dispenses just nice amount of oil every time. I never feel like I wasted my precious oil drops ;) Texture wise both regular and OR (gold) version is the same.
The website says this multipurpose dry oil can be used for body, face and hair. So far I’ve tried on skin and hair and I am loving it... so, the multipurpose claim checked out, how about the ‘dry oil’. I tried finding out what it is...but i still have no idea. Do drop a message if you know what is the difference between dry and non dry/wet oil means...
The oil has this soft lovely white flower smell, still noticeable after application. Don’t be scared with the glitter, as it doesn’t really show. Just give my skin that nice golden glow without being too obvious. The shimmer doesn’t transfer to clothing too! Best of all, this product get absorbed nicely, no sticky oily mess. Ah.. bliss
This one made it to my essential list, along side with The Body Shop Body butter and Badger Lip & Body Balm
In summary...
Packaging: bottle with nozzle spray (100mL bottle)
Color variations: just the oil or OR (with golden shimmer)
Collateral Damage: SGD 85 for 100mL of OR (golden) version, regular version will be cheaper
Texture: light, easily absorbed. Gives skin lovely golden glow. Slightly frangranced
Moisturizing: 4/5, non sticky yet moisturizing!
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like lightly fragranced oil, you want slight shimmer to brighten up your day, you have ultra dry skin
No if... you have oily skin, you don’t like mess oil might leads you, you don’t like the price, Ha!

Too Faced Luster Liner Lipliner in Tahitian
Hm... I’m not sure why I picked this up... I am pretty sure it is the unique packaging and the pretty color.
That must be my first time seeing a lip pencil with the product enclosed in clear plastic material. I just like the idea being able to see the color of my product thru the packaging, or in this case, the pencil. Plus the product promises lustre and multi dimensional color from south sea pearl. These babies are meant to coordinate with Too Faced’s Girls Dig Pearls lip gloss line.
The color... is, as you can see... is a pretty blue-based pearly pink. I am pretty happy with the pigmentation too.
It has no fragrance, but has a little waxy smell typical of older style lippies. It applies easily, glides well and feels so light on my lip.
But...
It was super ultra drying. 15-30 minutes after wearing, I just had to take it off. It somehow accentuates lines/wrinkles of my lip. Let’s just hope the other color works better for me...
In summary...
Packaging: cute cubby pencil style made of clear plastic
Color variations: only 4 colors here... all blue based pinks, purple and plum
Texture: light, glides well...
Moisturizing: 1/5, ultra drying on my lips
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like the color that much...
No if... your lips are rather dry.

Les Soins Bio Plante System Nourishing Lip care
As usual, the non-standard packaging caught my attention. The name is mouthful and I’m sure I can’t even pronounce it correctly.
The outer shell is made from paper, but the inside is plastic with clear plastic cap on top. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT, throw this tiny plastic cap. As I found out after few days, the paper top is so loose it is almost always not doing its job. This lip balm is definitely not for the handbag.
The brochure says Arkopharma from France has been around for 30 years, making skin care products from plant extracts. This Plante System range are Ecocert certified with 95% plants. Fragrance is natural and it is paraben free, phenoxythenol free and not tested on animals. What more can I ask from a simple lip balm?
I saw 4 options from Plante System range in the shop: Nourishing, Anti Ageing, Colored and Repairing. This Nourishing care balm contains beeswax, sesame oil, argan oil, shea butter and vanilla natural fragrance. The argan oil, especially, is supposed to nourish my lips.
The texture is balmy and not glossy upon application. I kind of like the texture, except it feels slightly heavier than my regular Badger Cocoa Butter Lip Balm. It has soft vanilla fragrance, detectable only during application.
Aside from the always-loose cap, I find difficulty with the sheer huge size of the balm stick. Kinda hard to apply for me.
I kinda like this one, as it feels nice on my lips...unfortunately the packaging is just too troublesome. This one will become resident bed-side table lip balm.
Packaging: paper on the outer, plastic inside. Very loose cap.
Collateral Damage: SGD 19.9
Texture: balmy, non glossy
Moisturizing: 4/5
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like moisturizing lip care
No if... you want to carry your lippie in your purse (the cap is tad loose, I guarantee it drop off sooner)
