Banila Co. Clean It Smart

After waves of asian inspired beauty product sprung up in western markets, we are now seeing beauty wave from western market to asian one!

Banila Co. introduced their Clean It Smart rechargeable brush system to the market. Just like Clarisonic and other brands, the brush head is changeable and it offers several speeds.

Banila Co Floral Seoul

I used to follow Banila Co, however, they havent release anything interesting to me, until I saw Floral Seoul.

Look at that cheerful floral illustrations... makes me smile...

The collection consist of eye shadows, blushes, lipstick and lip crayon. It is interesting to see that Banila Co incorporated marsala (Pantone 2015 color of the year) in the collection.

Banila co. Very Kissy Lip Plump in Envy

Banila co. is Korean brand- I’ve stalked this brand for its always chic seasonal make up collections. When I finally manage to purchase some products from Banila co., I grabbed this one along.

I’m not sure from which seasonal release is this gloss (or is it part of their permanent collection?). Banila seems to have a few lips plumping product. Very Kissy is in gloss form.

Envy is blue toned clear pink with silver and gold fine glitter. Swatched on my hand, this appear like a normal clear gloss with silver and gold shimmer. Not very disco-ball, but still shimmery. Applied on lips, it looks clear and glossy-the shimmer is not really visible unless I looked closely.

I can say this gloss is pretty heavily scented – sweetened fruit scent. When applied, it gives tingling feeling on lips- feels like mint flavored lipgloss, only much stronger tingle. It does have light minty flavor, but nothing to make me want lick my lips all the time. Kinda surprising, Since the fragrance is sweetened fruits, I was expecting sweet taste.

Even though it looks like a clear gloss, it does give my lips stained look after a while. Magenta-pink kind of stain, very subtle, but I noticed it right away. This lip swatch is taken after 1-2 hour wearing the gloss…see the difference in color. It is not as glossy actually, since I just realize the color change (and took picture subsequently) when I re apply the gloss after all my snacks and tea sipping.

Bottomline,
Definitely not for sensitive lips- it is heavily fragranced and stings a little. For me, it is not very worth it- as it doesn’t plump my lips very much.

Banila co. the Kissest Plumping tinted stick in LOVE

Banila co. Entered my radar only recently, since it doesn’t have any shop in Singapore. But the products looks pretty and I just cant resist to grab some...

The name says it all... it is lightly tinted balm which promises more plump lips. Sounds good...
I do think the packaging is so chic... chic plastic neon pink, without looking cheap.
The texture is totally comfortable... just like your regular lip balm with mint fragrance and taste. The Kissest is not as moisturizing as regular balm, but still more moisturizing than regular lipstick.
The fragrance is not so strong, but the taste it kinda strong. And you can feel slight tingle on your lips after applying.
The color is sheer pretty pink which I do think will suit nearly anyone. It stains my lip a little, leaving lovely pink color.
Is it really plumping? Erm.. a little bit... just a little bit. I don’t think the plumping action is really noticeable.
Minimal plumping aside, this balm is comfortable to wear and I just adore the color. like the color so much... I think I will grab another color!
In summary..
Packaging: light plastic tube with neon colors
COlor offerings: 3 colors- 2 shade of pinks and one tangerie
Texture:  similar to lip balm
Staying power: lasts about 3-4 hours (thanks to the staining property)
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like tinted balm, you want sheer colors
No if... you cant stand fragranced products, your lips are sensitive to plumping product
