Shiseido Integrate Melty Your Heart eyeshadow duo No. 1

Integrate is a brand from Shiseido. This cutie is from their 2014 fall collection called Love Sniper. In the past I loved their Pure Big Eyes palette, I am curious if I like their duo too.
http://www.shiseido.co.jp/ie/point/

Integrate offers eye shadow in gel cream texture (pink) and shade fit powder (brown) to aid the color stay put and not faded. according to their test, it lasts 10 hours! I am interested!

As usual, integrate website offers diagram to advise how to apply the shadow. Right now they offer 5 color combinations, No. 1 is limited edition.

The eyeshadow is housed in plastic tub with plastic lid over the powder shadow. both colors has satin finish with minimal shimmer. Not the most pigmented colors, but they are a pretty combination nonetheless. the pink is cooler baby pink while brown has a tinge of plum.

The pink is buttery and glides easily. Brown shade is not as powdery as I originally imagined it to be, it is rather well packed yet smooth to touch and easy to apply. it just sticks nicely when applied over the pink gel.

On my eyes, I didnt follow the Integrate diagram. I used Dolly Wink liquid eyeliner, then applied Melty Your Heart eyeshadow duo on top. I applied a bit of Make Essence Face Powder on my browbone.

well, as you can see... pigmentation is not the forte of this duo. but, it does stay put! the sheer pink and brown stays up to 9 hours on my oily lids.

Bottomline,
if you want sheer, office friendly duos with lasting power. this is suitable for you!

Etude House Princess Fantasy Adballoon Kit

I can rely on Etude House, a Korean brand, to deliver me steady stream of cute princess-y make up collections!

They have released a promotional video for a big palette called Princess Fantasy Adballoon Kit. It contains fourteen pastel and neutral colored eyeshadows and one blush. Interesting…

Peripera Tap Tap Eyes Eyeshadow Palette in Disney Frozen 1 Let It Go

Squeal! Another Elsa make up! This Summer I’m so happy that a Korean brand, Peripera has launched a Disney Frozen themed collection. I reviewed the liptint earlier, and now, it is time for the eyeshadow palette.

(clubclio.co.kr)
Just like the liptint, Peripera offers 2 different palette too: 1 Let It Go and 2 I’m Happy, Kristoff. Elsa’s color is naturally cooler toned than Anna’s.

I’m loving the packaging here… not only because The Frozen Queen herself is there, but also because it has big mirror attached to the palette! I love big mirrors for easy application! Peripera also includes dual tipped sponge applicator, but I don’t care about that, since I almost always apply shadows with my fingertips.

The palette itself contains three colors: cool toned iridescent white with shimmer finish… which reminds me of snowflakes. Warmer pink tinted purple with shimmer finish. And darker aubergine with shimmer as well. all three are sheer and easy to blend, but building up color is possible without cakey finish.
The powder is easy to pick and soft, pleasant to work with.
Now, the shimmer might not be every one’s cup of tea, but me, I like it. It glimmers nicely, very Elsa! I can totally see a make up artist re-creating Elsa’s eye make up with this palette.

Bottomline…
Workable texture, lovely shimmer and perfect color combination! Very Elsa, very spot on!

Make Up Academy The Artiste Collection Palette

When I am trying a new brand, I just have to try their palette. I guess it is just my lazy bones telling me that I need more palettes to carry when I’m travelling. All in one… shadows, blush, highlighter… BUY NOW… hahaa…

Okay… now, the Artiste… just like other products from MUA, it is housed in light, simple plastic casing. It offers eye shadows, blushes, bronzer and highlighter too! sounds like heaven to me…

You can count me disappointed in the first three colors… the pearly mint, pearly ivory and satin sky blue. It is not easy to pick enough pigment to get it to appear on my skin. The rest of the shadows… are different story… the deep purple with hint of shimmer is truly wonderful. The color just pops and it is pigmented! Ditto with the sparkly bronze and satin brown. These three colors make it worth it to purchase in my opinion.
(2 blushes 2nd color in pan then left most color in pan, 6 eye shadows, bronzer & highlighter swatches)

The blushes is another disappointment… their color is certainly pretty… fresh rosy pink and fresh rosy coral. But the pigmentation is just blah. Which is a pity…. The colors are super easy for daily use and totally bring fresh to otherwise muted face.

The bronzer is pigmented too… but may be a little too deep for my skin tone. The highlighter is ivory colored and it is wonderful. I can see myself wearing this a lot.

Bottomline…

It is okay for the price. First three shadows and the blushes are disappointment, but the rest are wonderful.

Rouge Baiser Paris Rouge Mythique Palette

Rouge Baiser is a classic make up brand from, well, Paris – as te name suggests. Their forte is the kiss proof lipstick formula. Of course, when I purchased this palette in Monoprix Paris, I didn’t know this yet. I was more interested in the pretty black and white ink sketches on the packaging. Only the lips of the pretty illustrations are painted in seductive luscious red.

The sketches however, doesn’t appear in the palette itself. The palette material is shiny patent leather like pretty red, just like the lips of the sketches. The compact box is wrapped in black velvet pouch – making it look expensive! Main material of the palette is plastic with magnetic closure.

Inside, I got small mirror, face powder, 2 blushes, 4 lipglosses, 12 eye shadows, dual ended sponge applicator, lip brush and mini powder brush. Very complete for such a small palette.

The powder and blush is fine textured. The face powder though, will be too light for deeper skinned beauties, as the powder is not translucent. The blushes are pretty tan with golden shimmer and tan with a dash of mauve with golden shimmer. The shimmer is not very visible once blended to the skin. They are pigmented and stays pretty much the whole day on me. These colors must be worn lightly, as they are pretty pigmented.  I like to wear the tan as eyeshadow, as I don’t contour my face too much.

The glosses are sheer and balmy, I recommend to warm the product first by placing your finger tip on top of the gloss before applying. I find this method makes it easier for me to pick up color. The colors are plum, warm red, cool red and nude. These are very nude and gives off glossy finish. I am liking all the colors and find they are super wearable.

The main star of the palette for me is the eyeshadows! they are pigmented and wonderfully textured. Super easy to blend too! Shadows on top row are ivory, warm bronze, taupe and black. The middle row is warm green themed: starting with pearl, warm leaf green, deep olive and  greenish deep brown. Last row is plum themed: pastel lavender, deep cold lavender, deep black-purple and pinkish plum. All have shimmery finish. This is super easy to use, mix and match for all skin color. I am loving it!

I am definitely going to check out more products from Rouge Baisier. The price point is very reasonable and the brand is readily available in Monoprix Paris. Give it a try if you drop by in Paris.

Fred Farrugia Midnight Kit, Pearlized Twinkle Eyeshadows in 03, 11& Transparent Crème Blush in 02

Yes… I went to a shopping spree recently… Guilty as charged…  But I couldn’t resist those twinkly colors and pretty little Midnight Kit set…

Fred Farrugia is a make up artist and, of course, the creator of the brand. His aim is to create products with textures that blends with skin for natural result. Most importantly these products should be able to follow the ladies wherever they go. That’s how Fred Farrugia magnetic system was founded!

Midnight Kit is a nifty little starter kit. It contains all you need to start your own Fred Farrugia pallete. Of course you can keep them in the plastic sleeves they came in when you bought each product, but I would be much more travel friendly if you own the top and bottom casing! You can create your own palette according to your needs!

Back to the lovely kit. It contains the top and bottom closures and also the sleeve in black. I find the sleeve particularly useful to make sure the palette wont get accidentally open in your luggage. The kit alos contains Pearlized Twinkle Eyeshadows in 15, Cream Lipstick/Lipgloss in 24 and Illuminating Powder in 01. That’s all you need to create a lovely night out look!

The lip colors would be flattering to any skintone. Both have color in the same family, hence can be used alone or layered up to add more glossiness. The lippie is more natural while the gloss is more pinky – both are tea rose colored. Eyeshadows in 15 is classic combo of sparkly pearly white shadows and equally sparkly black-grey shadow. The texture is not as smooth and buttery as Japanese brands, but they truly excels in pigmentation. Last but not least is the Illuminating powder in 01… it has lovely smooth texture. The color is warm ivory with super subtle shimmer. I do think this will also flatter any skin tone. I love to use it as brow bone highlighter too.

Of course, monochrome eyeshadows wont do it for me… That’s how I end up with additional palette in 03 and 11. 03 consists of bright teal blue shadow and popping pink-magenta shadow. 11 is more subtle pale cool pastel plum and complimentary deep plum. Both palette has good pigmentation and similar texture with the one included in Midnight Kit.

And… I cant resist Transparent Crème Blush in 02. It is, well, transparent and blendable crème blush with matte finish. No shimmer here. The color is lovely almost neon Barbie pink, but when blended properly it gives me pretty, feminine pink cheeks.

I do recommend putting your crème products on top of the palette and the sparkly shadows below. Just to avoid the possibility of powders getting stuck on the crème product when you use your brushes to pick them up.

Bottomline,
I am loving Fred Farrugia’s customizable palette system…very travel friendly. The eyeshadows are of good quality and blushes are pretty too. Pricing point is slightly at the expensive side, but if you travel a lot, this might be your life (or cosmetic) safer.

Stila Merry & Bright Collectible Holiday Palette

Nude shadows was never my thing... I want my shadows colorful and bright! But recently, I realize how handy it is to have nudes eye shadows in hand. It can never go wrong with nudes to highlight and emphasize crease!

That's why when I saw Stila Merry & Bright I jumped to purchase it. The set contains (of course) the eye shadow and make up palette plus lipglaze in kitten.

The palette is smaller than standard Stila travelling girl palette, but it contains more shadow variety! Super wearable nudes and neutrals in shimmery and matte finish. Plus a convertible lip and cheek cream. As usual, the palette also features handy mirror and simple face chart.

Strangely enough, I am most happy with the convertible color! I find it super handy to use. It gives my cheek that natural pinky flush.

The eye shadows on the other hand... Was a little meh. I love glisten and joyful the most, ebony and butterscotch the least. I find the two mattes too powdery for my taste. And I prefer my black, very black...

Bottomline,
Handy palette for travelling and touch ups. But for the price I don't think it is very worth it for me, as I can foresee myself using only the convertible, glisten and joyful. May be, molasses once in a while. But this palette can be a real gem for nude n neutrals starters who want variety of finishes in a single palette.

Etude House Wannabe Style Making Kit

This pretty palette is part of very cute winter 2011 release from etude house called Wannabe. All Wannabe products features illustration by Annika Wester.

Previously, I tried Wannabe's Lumiball highlighter, Lipsticks and Nail polish set.

This matte black plastic palette is surprisingly quite well by it. It feels substantial and it holds quite a lot of products too! And thie mirror...is big.... I love big mirrors! Unfortunately it couldn't open flat, making it hard to apply and hold the palette at the same time.

Upon opening, you will see the mirror and 8 eye shadows and 2 lip colors. The eye shadows are all glittery...chunky glitters that cause a bit of fall off. There's warm baby oink with golden glitter, dark lavender with silver glitter, army green with sublet golden glitter, cold brown with silver glitter, warm brown with dark golden glitter, sheer white crystal glitter, shimmery dark grey and cold baby pink with iridescent shimmer. To complete this side, Theres coral pink creme lip color and mauve pink lip color. The shadows are sooooo sheer.those fancy sheer glittery looks will love this. I don't really like the texture too.. Kinda rough and gritty. Doesnt last very long on my oily lids too...the colors faded easily. The lip colors are too sheer for my liking as well...and I don't think can get away using them as cheek color as these are creamy and my cheeks are oily...it just accentuate the oilyness... But I love the colors as cheek color!

The drawer like compartment below opens when pulled. Took me quite a while to master opening it up, as it is pretty thight. It comes with 4 double ended sponge applicator (which I will never use, I'm all about fingertip application), glittery champagne creme Highlighter, yellowish beige and pale baby pink concealers, brown and black cream liner. One of the best thing in this palette (beside that wonderful big mirror) is the cream Highlighter. It is shimmer packed and sheer, you really don't need much. It blends nicely and easily.
The concealers are very creamy and pigmented. Too bad it only suit those with fair skin. Eye liners featured here are rather sheer... Like my liners pigment packed...so this is certainy not my cup of tea.

Bottomline... If sheer glittery colors are your style, b all means this palette is a fun palette to own. For me personally, I like pigments, so this is not of high value for me. Plus the fall out is just too much for me.

Coffret d'Or SA Eyes in 04

One day, I decided that I need more blue eye shadow in my collection. Off I went hunting for pretty blue things in the internet. And I stumbled upon this...
Oh... receiving this baby was pure joy. I didn’t expect the packaging to look so nice. Look at that pink diamantes on the cover! Love...
The packaging looks so pretty. And it has mirror inside too! comes with 2 type of brushes.
As usual, most Japanese palettes I’ve purchased has easy to follow diagram ...
Now the product itself! Of the colors are powder eye shadows. Blue and brown shadows were ultra shimmery glittery. Very pretty. Sheer, but pretty. the white one was less shimmery but still does a nice job for highlighting. The last one in the middle was cream-gel like shadow/liner. I always use this one as glittery liner.
I am loving the texture of this one so much. It is easy to use and the shimmer-glitter doesn’t fall off! I can totally see myself grabbing other palettes from this brand!

In Summary...
Packaging: plastic metallic palette with mirror and 2 brushes inside
Texture: light, smooth easy to blend and apply
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you like shimmery shadow, you adore that pretty blue shade...
No if... you want more pigmented shadows
