And so... I returned to the mall and grabbed two more shades of the lovely Lip Butters... here goes...
Sweet Tart...
and Cherry Tart...
Cherry tart has tiny silver shimmer that's unnoticable when applied. just like other Lip Butter formulas, they glides easily and feels comfortable.
My review on other colors are here: http://sprayandtell.blogspot.com/2012/02/revlon-colorburst-lip-butter-in-075.html

Revlon Age Defying Face Illuminator in 020 Pink Light
I don't really need another Highlighter... But I always ended up purchasing one every time I saw new Highlighter in the aisle. Hey... Small drugstore ingulgences won't hurt, right?
This hillier certainly promises alot... Beside the obvious highlighting job, it also promises to defy our age... And Revlon even thrown 'spa' in the tube! Sounds fantastic!
First the packaging, I thought incorporated brush would be a genius idea. Unfortunately for me, who simply haven't master the use of highlighting brush... This one doesn't work. I end up wasting a lot of product, especially since a lot of it is stuck in the brush when I squeeze the tube to dispense the creamy product. The brush can swivel to 'on' and 'off' position. Make sure you turned it to 'off' whenever you put it in your bag or pouch. I ignored this on off mechanism, and learnt the hard way, that cleaning up messy Highlighter in make up pouch is no fun. Also, I can't seem to wash the brush.... And I don't like keeping dirty brush saturated with creamy product in my make up stash...
Now the product... It us ultra creamy. I wore it only with the lightest moisturizer I own (I'm using johnson & Johnson clean & clear oil free moisturizer underneath this). It is definitely moisturizing.... But beware, this also means I have to blot more frequently than usual , I have oily t zone. Also, wearing too much of this make my face look like oil factory. use it with caution... Highlight strategicalLy... Near brow bone, upper cheek bone is okay too...but don't go slather this allover your face.
The colors lovely.. Pale shell pink with shimmers. When used properly, this makes my face look glowy. It has light fresh floral scent, which dissipates after application. The color is sheer and pretty when blended.
Bottomline...
I don't like this, since it is too creamy for my combination skin. Those with normal or dry skin might like it more than I do.
The attached brush is a flop for me... I want clean brush when applying my make up!

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in 075 Lollipop and 015 Tutti Frutti
I’ve seen many positively glowing reviews of Revlon’s new Lip Butters in the net, mostly from American sites & blogs. I have been looking forward to get my hands on these when friends/family goes to the US- I nearly cant believe my eyes when I saw Lip Butter poster & display on Watson’s in Jakarta !!! It has arrived!
Now, I’ve been a fan of COlorburst range lippies & glosses in the past years. I don’t think twice and grab 2 lovely colors from the Lip Butter range – tangerine coral Tutti Fruity and magenta pink Lollipop. Was tempted to grab them all, but I decided to try 2 colors first.
Nice thing about the packaging is the clear frosty plastic cap-with matching colors! No more opening every single lipstick tube to find the color I wanted to wear! Tube is entirely made of plastic, but it is in no way flimsy.
The rave reviews in beauty blogs across USA is true… this feels like balm, taste like nothing! Wonderful! Nicely moisturizing and it glides lightly and nicely on my lips. The colors are sheer with glossy shiny finish, but buildable. Some colors (like Tutti Frutti) has no shimmer, while other (like Lollipop) features light shimmer.
I still cant believe how lovely this feels on my dry lips! Very balmy. Just like most balms, this one doesn’t last very long on my lips. About 1-2 hours with my regular tea sipping n occasional light snacking. The color will fade and leave a light veil of tint on my lips. It is easily removed too - light swipe/blot with tissue will lift all the tint and it doesn’t leave stain.
I am in love… totally going to return to that Watsons’ and grab other colors!

Revlon Colorburst Gloss in 018 Fire
Colorburst range from Revlon is my most favorite drugstore brand lip color so far! The lipsticks are nicely pigmented and light. The glosses I tried so far are nice as well.
This time, I purchased Fire- crème fire engine red. I do think this will fit any skintone-if you are confident enough to rock red. The pigmentation doesn’t disappoint – it is super pigmented, only thin layer is needed to make nice, even red lips. As with my previous Colorburst glosses – it is not too moisturizing, yet not drying-just nice. It is not one of those heavy-sticky kind of lip gloss.
Fire lasted 2-3 hours on me – with my frequent tea sipping. I have no trouble of the color migrating around, even without lip pencil as base. It is nice that the color doesn’t clump or pool on my lip lines. In the end of 2-3 hours, it leaves a nice red stain on my lips.
In summary…
Perfect lipgloss for those who want bold red lip! Good option for those wanting to experiment with red too- if you don’t like it too loud just apply lightly then blot with tissue…voila! Nicely stained lips!

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Fuchsia 030
Before Fuchsia, I tried Carnation from this line. Liked Carnation’s texture so much, I decided to get another one (or may be two soon hehe...)
Everything is the same with Fuchsia, except the color. This one proves the claim from Revlon’s pamphlets correct ‘high pigment color release on lips to give rich color in just one swipe’. I swiped once, and I see wonderful fuchsia colored lip. I didn’t use any lip liner below it, and I didn’t see any weathering on the border of my lips even after few hours of wear.
See how full the color is...the swatch was single light handed swipe. Okay, to be fair, these pictures didn’t really capture the fuchsia-ness of Fuchsia... in real life, it is rich and bright.
Unlike light Carnation, Fuchsia sticks around for a long time. After 2-3 hours, with a lot of tea sippings in between, the color is still clearly visible, even though it has toned down. But I think I prefer it this way, it looks like I am wearing lip stain instead of lipcolor. The stained look stays for hours...I am pretty sure without drinking, this baby can last loonnggg time...
In summary...
Packaging: light matte finish plastic
Color variations: 3/5 I kinda expect more color variations from Revlon
Price: SGD 10, but I think outside Changi airport it costs around SGD 17-19?
Texture: light, like not wearing anything
Moisturizing: 3/5
Staying power: wonderfully stained lip look after 2-3 hours with tea sippings in between
Is it worth it?
-Yes if... you like strong fuchsia, you want fuchsia stained lips, you like your lippie to feel light on lips
-No if... you want softer fuchsia

Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Carnation 025
I got this one accidentally. No tester, no experience with the formula. But since it was not so expensive, I decided to grab it on the way to the cashier.
Revlon pamphlets says...
‘... Innovative pigments provide immediate, high pigment color release on lips to give rich color in just one swipe.
Unique elasticolor technology hugs lips with explosion of color that feels virtually weightless.
Contains film-forming polymers for longer wear and skin conditioning properties.
Moisturizers and anti-oxidants, including sweet almond oil improve lip texture...’
In a typical Revlon style, the tube is black in color. The amazing thing is, the color on the top of the tube matches the color of the lipstick bullet! Other than that, I don’t care for Revlon’s packaging, so let’s go inside... the color is very nice pink, the lipstick bullet has ‘REVLON’ embossed in the middle . I like embossed lipstick bullets...
The color is rather sheer, I think. With that, I cant agree or disagree with the ‘rich color in just one swipe’ claim, guess have to try with bolder color (which I’m sure will try soon *wink*). With Carnation, my natural lip color still peeks thru. If I sniffed closely enough, I could detect rather unnatural fragrance, but I cant detect it upon application, so it doesn’t really matter.
The formula is amazingly light, soft and nice. I feel like I didn’t wear any lipstick! It is not moisturizing, but my bone-dry lips are not complaining! I am totally loving it! However, the color does not last very long, which is expected from light pink colors. Lasted about 3 hours on me.

Will I buy more? Yes, in fact I am targeting the fuchsia and red now... *wink*
