Oriental Princess Beneficial Kiss From A Rose Natural Face Tint in 07 Cherry Blossom

Have to admit, this stain has the most complicated name ... And of course, I just have to try stain from a brand I have just discovered!

Oriental Princess offers variety of beauty products in wallet friendly prices. The brand is Thai and can easily be found in shopping malls in Thailand.

The bottle and applicator is very similar to Benefit’s. My box contains a small sponge applicator to make blending easier. Looking at the size of the sponge, I am sure it will be destroyed before I even reach half of the stain bottle.

This stain is meant to be used for the cheek and lips. It contains chamomile and green tea extracts to liven up your skin while protecting against environmental pollution.

Cherry blossom is translucent red with a hint of coral. Be sure to shake your bottle well, since it does contain a little shimmer. The shimmer, however, doesn’t show up once the stain is blended on to your cheeks.

Little goes a long way here... the stain is pigmented. Start with a little dot on your cheek then quickly blend. Add more products when needed. I find this more pigmented than my regular The Body Shop stain or Benefit’s.  this means you need to work faster and blend quicker to avoid the clown cheeks.

Bottomline,
Pigmented stain for the cheek and lips. Oriental Princess also offers varieties of color- ranging from cutesy rosy pink to healthy flush warm red. I recommend you to check this brand out when you visit Thailand.

Tarte Natural Cheek Stain in Glam

This is the beginning of my love affair with cheek stains...
Got this from one of Sephora’s box sets. I just adore the packaging. Lovely color too... pink-coral with golden shimmer...
On skin, it is sheer and makes my cheek glows...
It is lightly fragranced- very soft and soothing fragrance. And feels moisturizing when I applied it on my cheek and blend it. in drier climates, I think this would be a nice comfortable on skin kind of blush. But in tropical climate like Singapore, I think it is a little too moisturizing for me. I can see those with dry skin would be happy with this blush.

However, this is not really a stain. When i swathed it on my skin, i can easily remove the color with clean cotton pad. It doesn’t stain my skin at all.

Whenever I use this one, I always set it with sheer powder. And it works perfectly. I am thinking to get more colors if they ship it over to Asia...

In summary...
Packaging: made of plastic, golden in color...pretty and festive
Texture: light, glides nicely, shimmery and moisturizing
Moisturizing: 4/5
Staying power: stays pretty much all day
Is it worth it?
Yes if... you adore the color, you want moisture with your blush
No if... you have oily skin, you expect a staining product

Pink stain for lips, cheeks and *what*?!?

When I went to my local drugstore today I noticed this product called ‘Pinki Princess’. With a tiny white box and pink silhouette of magical looking fairy, I am interested.

Apparently this product is pretty precious... it is located behind the cashier, so if you would like to test it, you gotta ask one of the staff there. When I requested to have a look, the male staff has no clue what product it is... until I saw the back of the white-pink box: it is supposed to give rosy-pink cheek and lips... and unsightly brown nipples... and that’s not it... can be used on pubic area too!!! (I am sure gynaecologists out there wouldn’t be very amused with the idea of staining pubic area...)

The product is said to be natural plant extracts to remove dark pigmentations on lip, skin, nipple and external pubic area. Supposedly it is waterproof and will last a few days.

Being curious cat that I am, I decided to try it on my hand...

The color is fuchsia-pink which might look nice on lips, but I don’t think it will flatter me if I were to wear it as blush. Or may be I just have to use even less product and blend more?

The texture is thick gel, very thick to the extent it was hard for me to get the product out of the tester tube. It has slight sweet fragrance and feels greasy even after blending.

I cant stand the greasy feeling ... and so after about 30 minutes, I grabbed the nearest tissue and try wiping it off... the grease is gone, but the pinkish stain is still there. And it stays strong up to 9 hours after initial application. This gotta be the strongest stain I have ever encountered...

By the way, I only used teeny weeny dot of the product... I cant imagine if I accidentally pushed more product out of that tube...

Thankfully, the stain could be removed with scrubbing and plenty of soap. Never again I will go near this product...

This product claimed to be Korean and famous in Japan, but heavily promoted by Singaporean... confusing...
